Promoting Health and Hygiene
Policy Statement
Warwick Pre-School believes that the health and safety of children is of paramount importance.
-
We make our setting a safe and healthy place for children, parents, staff and volunteers.
-
We aim to make children, parents and staff aware of health and safety issues and to minimise the hazards and risks to enable the children to thrive in a healthy and safe environment.
Managing children with allergies, or who are sick or infectious
-
Please do not sent your child if they are unwell(Including reporting notifiable diseases)
-
We need your help to keep our children well and healthy and to prevent the spread of illness in Pre-school
-
There are everyday actions that you and your children can take to stay healthy and we would like to share a few ways you can help
-
Pre-school is for well children so please do not send your children if they are unwell. Children who are considered to be sick while at Pre-school will be sent home; a staff member will call the parents/guardians and ask them to collect their child, or send a known carer to collect on their behalf.
-
We provide care for healthy children and promote health through identifying allergies and preventing contact with the allergenic substance and through preventing cross infection of viruses and bacterial infections.
-
Parents are asked to take their child to the doctor before returning them to Pre-school; we can refuse admittance to children who have a temperature, cough, sickness and diarrhoea or a contagious infection or disease
